Well, we officially have a 2 year old!!! Her Birthday was such a fun day. We had the house all decorated the night before so when she woke up all she could say was, "ahhh WOW"!! She loved it... all of it. Makenna loves Strawberry Shortcake so everything was pink and green. It sure was hard keeping her busy all day until her party started. When everyone started to arrive Makenna was ready. She took everyone's coats, purses and hats and found them a seat! She is such a little character, so concerned for others all of the time. She watched out the window and screamed with delight when more guests arrived. Makenna loved her little party blowers, she danced around the house blowing one all night! We ate pizza and played fun games and yes then it was time for presents, she couldn't wait! It is so fun to watch a 2 year old open presents. She ripped into each gift so fast and her expressions were priceless as she pulled out each gift. She wanted to stop and play with each one but we had to move things along right?!
Then it was time for her beautiful birthday cake that her Auntie Ginnie brought... so adorable!! Makenna was so excited to see her cake and kept saying, "danks, danks, danks (aka thanks) to Ginnie. We had been practicing blowing out candles so she was ready and blew them out all by herself on the first try! She LOVED it! Makenna doesn't sit still long enough to get a good picture of her-- dang it, she looked so cute and loved wearing her birthday hat all night! We had to pry her dress and party hat off of her at the end of the night, if only birthdays lasted longer then a day. It was hard trying to kept the party going and be social and take pictures too!! We had such a wonderful day and are so glad that our families live close enough to celebrate Makenna's special day with her. Sorry for the picture overload and they are a little out of order but I'm sure you will get the drift.
Oh how I love my sweet little TWO year old girl!
Digging into her cake again at the very end of the night... it was SO SO yummy.

Wow! If you did that cake I am impressed and you need to do it for money! that's amazing. I'm jelouse! I want a birthday party with pink and green! Great photos, what a beautiful child!
